Artist bio

A Philadelphia native, Julie Goodblessing Corcoran was a self taught sewist by age eight.   An avid creative, all forms of art and craft captured her attention but she always returned to fabric.  After art school she attended  a fashion school where she excelled in patternmaking.  After years of working for various fashion companies, she launched her own wearable arts line, Front Street Studios, which sold in  shows, galleries, boutiques, and museum gift shops around the country.  The line was also featured in national publications.

Her lifelong love of fabric, art, and literature are continue to be her inspiration. Over 20 years experience as a professional patternmaker for the fashion industry, over 30 years sewing, and a Fine Arts background fuel her expertise and craftsmanship.

A cancer diagnosis in July 2020 changed everything, including her medium of choice, going from fabric to metal.
